Eating for Pure Energy

Are you feeling truly alive? When I say ‘truly alive’ I mean to actually be living your life more than just existing and going through the routine of the day. Would you say that you’re experiencing low energy, struggling to keep up with it all?
When you are eating the right foods for your body, you’ll experience better digestion, less bloat, no more bags under your eyes, fewer wrinkles, and clearer skin, but, most of all, you’ll have more energy. Wouldn’t it be great to stop dragging your feet all day and actually have some bounce to your step when you walk?
What happens when we don’t eat well is we physically start to not feel good. Maybe we lose sleep at night or we have zero energy throughout the day and reach for caffeine and sugar. When we aren’t eating the optimal foods for our body, we also cannot metabolize foods properly, and we tend to experience weight gain, food allergies, anxiety, depression, mood changes, belly bloat, irritable bowel syndrome or constipation, low energy, low stamina, and low libido.

If you want to feel energized, have glowing skin and have balanced moods then what I suggest is adding the following foods to your diet:
Leafy greens
Avocado
Berries
Healthy oils (coconut oil, olive oil, avocado oil)
Healthy fats (flax, chia, and hemp seeds)
Coconut water for hydration
These foods boost energy like no cup of java ever will.
Let’s focus on getting more good stuff in because you are what you digest and absorb. These are the steps you need to take to increase your energy and begin to feel amazing.

Stay hydrated. Drink half your body weight in fresh, clean water daily.
Eat foods that are rich in Vitamin D such as cod liver oil, fish, oysters, eggs, mushrooms, yogurt, and kefir.
Eat foods rich in Vitamin B such as whole grains, dark leafy veggies, like spinach, fenugreek, lettuce, cabbage, and asparagus.
Eat foods rich in live enzymes and healthy bacteria such as raw foods and kimchi. The gut needs a good balance of 85% good bacteria and 15% bad bacteria to maintain a healthy atmosphere.

Let’s reduce the ‘energy robbers’:
Caffeine is at the top of my list. This sneaky trickster will give your body a jolt of energy that is short-lived, causing you to crash once the false energy from caffeine is used up.
Foods that you are sensitive or allergic to will wreak havoc on your body and steal your energy.
Toxicity in the body and unwanted pathogens, such as yeast, bacteria, and parasites, will all steal energy.
Not getting enough sleep and holding on to negative emotions will rob your body of the energy it deserves.
