Do you dread that afternoon energy slump that leaves you reaching for a coffee or something sweet as a pick-me-up to get you through the rest of your day? We’ve all been there and there’s a very common reason why this energy crash happens that few understand.
It all comes down to your blood sugar. Now when I say blood sugar, I am not talking about Diabetes, which most people think of when I bring up this term. We all experience blood sugar fluctuation in response to what we eat, when we eat and influenced by certain lifestyle factors.
When you eat a meal (or have a drink or snack) your blood sugar will increase. How much it increases will really depend on what you ate and how quickly glucose is released from these foods and/or drinks into your blood stream.
Carbohydrates break down into glucose in our blood stream. The carbohydrates with short chains (a.k.a. simple Carbohydrates) reach the bloodstream much more quickly than those with long-chain (a.k.a. complex Carbohydrates), resulting in higher blood sugar spikes.
Simple Carbohydrates are things like your cookies, pastries, most breads and cereal products, processed grains and their flours, white rice, refined sugar, candy, soda, corn syrup and high-fructose syrup, fruit juice concentrate and many processed foods.
Complex Carbohydrates include things like legumes, whole grains, beans, vegetables, and fruit. A whole grain in it’s unprocessed form contains three parts and when it’s processed two of those parts are stripped away and you’re left with the blood-sugar spiking starchy part that is void of nutrients.
Repeated blood sugar spikes, over time, can lead to a condition called Hypoglycemia. I want you to think of it like a rollercoaster – your blood sugar spikes up after a meal, and then it crashes in a few hours, leaving you with low energy, cravings, and irritability. We all know that “hangry” feeling right?! Over time this also has a negative impact on your hormonal balance, especially your stress hormone Cortisol and sex hormones.
Learning to stabilize this blood sugar rollercoaster is really the key if you want to feel more stable energy throughout the day, have less cravings, support weight-loss and better hormone health.
Here are three simple tips that will help stabilize your blood sugar levels:
Navigating proper nutrition can be confusing in today’s day and age with so much conflicting information. It can leave you feeling overwhelmed and lost on what’s right for your unique body. If you find yourself in a place where nothing seems to be working for you, and you want to know which foods will support your unique needs, I encourage you to check out the Metabolic Balance Program. This is a fully customized nutrition program for women looking to support weight-loss, better hormone balance, energy levels and digestion. Best of all your plan will be entirely based on the chemistry of your bloodwork, taking out all the guesswork!

Ann is also passionate about thyroid health, as she herself has experienced the lonely and confusing journey that came with the diagnosis of an autoimmune thyroid disorder, and loves supporting other women who may be struggling with thyroid related symptoms.

Breathwork is a powerful practice that when integrated, can transform your life. When I was first learning about Breathwork there were a few guiding principles that led to my internal awakening and continues to guide my practice and my life.
Some of the principles sound easy in theory but allowing yourself to fully surrender and trust yourself in the process can be difficult but is essential. In Breathwork the concept of surrender does not signify defeat or weakness, rather an opportunity for personal insight. When you surrender to the process, you allow new experiences and opportunities to present themselves. Our thinking mind can act like a vessel, defaulting to stories or scenarios that reinforce limiting beliefs. With Breathwork we step away from this thinking mind and remove the distractions that impact our ability to live in the moment.
The next principle is what you resist persists and the way past is through. In a Breathwork session life material arises when you are subconsciously ready and equipped to face it. In this safe container, you have the opportunity to explore, heal, and resolve items that may be holding you back from wellness.
Other Breathwork jargon you might hear is, everything is grist for the mill. So what does this mean? Basically, it’s acceptance that what will be will be and whatever happens, happens. Whether there are glitches in the music or you are interrupted by family, or distractions in the room. Your frustration, anger, joy, and laughter: they are all a part of the Breathwork session. Breathe into the emotion, breathe into any movement you experience, breathe to deepen and maximize the experience. It is all energy ready to be released.
After a Breathwork session, it is important to take time to reintegrate into regular daily activity. Here are some of the transitional activities to help integrate:
There is no limit to what you can do to integrate, do what feels right for you. As Breathwork becomes one of your self care activities, you will notice how impactful it can be in your everyday life.

We come into the world with a big breath often followed by a cry and we come to the end of life when our breath ceases. This is an automatic function that does not require us to think about it for it to happen but it is something that we can control.
When we are in pain we hold our breath, when we are anxious or excited our breathing becomes rapid. When we are at peace we have slow even paced breath. There is no disputing that breathing is essential to life and how we take care of our breath is important. The connection with our mental, emotional, and physical body is vital. There are many ways to utilize our breath to bring stability to this connection and Neurodynamic breathwork as a practice certainly can help.
Neurodynamic breathwork as a practice can:
Breathwork, in combination with other practices, helps you explore life in new dynamic ways. As integration takes place you will discover deeper aspects of life you never knew existed. Next month we will explore key principles of Breathwork and integration.

Hello dear HHW Global community!
As we greet the rejuvenating season of spring, I find myself reflecting on growth - not just the blossoming around us, but our personal journeys of expansion and transformation. Let's explore this together, through the lens of my own story and the wisdom of Ayurvedic elements.
Consider a thriving plant. When it outgrows its pot, we don't hesitate to transplant it into a larger one, giving it room to flourish. This simple act of changing containers is a powerful metaphor for personal and professional growth. Just like the plant, we too need space to expand, to reach our full potential.
When I first embarked on my solo journey as a Reiki master teacher, the world of business was uncharted territory for me. I felt like a seedling in a small pot, yearning for space. Joining the HHW community was my way of stepping into a bigger container. This leap not only nurtured my growth as a Reiki practitioner but also as a solopreneur. It was a transformation that resonated deeply with the essence of Reiki - flowing with life's energy and embracing change.
Ayurveda, often referred to as the sister science of Yoga, is an ancient holistic healing system from India. It emphasizes the balance of body, mind, and spirit through the understanding of the five elements – Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether. These elements represent different aspects of our existence and align with specific chakras, reminding us that growth is multidimensional. For instance, 'Earth' grounds us in stability, 'Water' nurtures our adaptability and emotional well-being, 'Fire' fuels our ambitions and transformative energy, 'Air' symbolizes movement and change, and 'Ether' connects us to the expansive, spiritual aspects of the universe.
This spring marks a special time in our collective journey - an opportunity to embrace the spirit of renewal and growth, aligning ourselves with the natural rhythm of the universe. As part of our Spring Awakening series, we will embark on a profound exploration of these Ayurvedic elements, each linked to specific chakras and meditations. This is more than just a learning experience; it's a transformative journey, allowing us to find our larger pot, where our roots can delve deeper and our branches can stretch higher. For more details about the series and how to be a part of this elemental harmony, please click here. Join us every Wednesday at 7:55 pm, from April 3rd to June 19th, as we embrace the renewing energies of Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether, fostering holistic growth and balance.
As we each navigate our path towards a larger container for growth, let's draw inspiration from the Ayurvedic elements. These ancient elements guide us in fully embracing our potential, reminding us that growth is a harmonious blend of understanding and aligning with the natural forces within and around us. In our 'Spring Awakening' series, we'll explore this synergy between the timeless teachings of Ayurveda and the enduring wisdom of Reiki. Together, these practices offer a holistic path to growth, balance, and well-being. Join me in this journey as we transcend our boundaries and flourish in this season of renewal and awakening. Here's to growing together in harmony and wisdom!

As women, we traditionally experience a lot of stress and stressors, not only being responsible for ourselves but also for our partners, children, grandchildren and our vocation. Women ruminate, seemingly endlessly, on things out of our control.
As our spirit connects more deeply in our core, our human “monkey brain” experience works to make sense of what our true essence, our spirit, really wants. When we can calm, surrender and just BE, we tap into our truth, our connection to our inner guide, our spirit.
With so many distractions in life, it is often our last thought to just BE with ourself, to self care, to turn off and to listen to our inner guidance. Many women are in fight or flight mode with heightened stress hormones and with an overactive central nervous system. This sabotages the spiritual work we do, not allowing us to connect fully into our true self. We are too distracted by external factors unconsciously activating our physiological response.
The best thing we can do is consciously calm our physical body to be able to connect more fully to our spiritual and energetic or auric body.
10 simple ways to reconnect with our spirit and calm your central nervous system:
1. Hum, sing or chant. It’s quick and easy to do.
2. Breathe. 10 DEEP concentrated breaths or 4-7-8 breathing.
3. Meditate.
4. Ground in nature, literally. Stand on grass in bare feet, walk in a forest.
5. Listen to relaxing music such as meditation music or binaural beats.
6. Stretch.
7. Repeat mantras such as “I am safe and secure.”
8. Massage your ears
9. Go for a massage
10. Garden (play in the earth - grounding)
Do your best to do 3 each day and see what effect it has. And once done, LISTEN for your spirit. How does your energy feel?

We all have a flow of energy in our bodies. This flow is known as chi, prana, or life force, and it plays a crucial role in our overall well-being and contributes to stress levels.
When energy flows harmoniously, we experience vitality, balance, and well-being. However, blockages in the energy pathways can disrupt this flow and lead to increased stress and tension.
You can recognize signs of blocked energy by being aware when you are restless, irritable, or have physical symptoms like muscle tension. By understanding the connection between energy flow and stress levels, you can proactively take steps to clear these blockages.
Practices like meditation, breathwork, Reiki, releasing trapped emotions, or even deeper work by releasing wounds at the soul level can help release stagnant energy and restore balance, promoting a state of inner peace and emotional resilience.
Techniques for Clearing Energy Blockages
Various techniques are available to clear energy blockages and restore balance.
Meditation allows us to quiet the mind, focus inward, and create space for energy to flow freely.
Breathwork, such as deep diaphragmatic breathing or alternate nostril breathing, oxygenates the body and releases stagnant energy.
Reiki, a Japanese energy healing modality, channels universal life force energy to facilitate the release of energetic obstructions.
Movement-based practices like yoga or Tai Chi combine physical postures, breathwork, and mindful movement to release tension and enhance energy flow.
Learn how to muscle test so that you can identify what energies are trapped in your body, and then use specific releasing techniques that will allow you to practice good energy hygiene to keep your energy highways clear and flowing.
Exploring and incorporating these techniques into our lives allows us to develop a personalized energy-clearing practice that resonates with our needs, fostering a state of inner peace and well-being.
Create an Energetic Sanctuary
Designing a peaceful and harmonious space at home supports energy clearing and stress relief. Utilizing natural elements and colors that promote a calm environment, such as earthy tones, can enhance the energy flow.
Incorporating sacred objects, crystals, or essential oils further amplifies the energetic atmosphere.
Establishing daily rituals, like smudging or lighting candles, helps maintain the energetic sanctity of the space.
Regular decluttering and organizing contribute to a clearer energy flow.
By consciously creating an energetic sanctuary, we provide ourselves with a refuge for rejuvenation, healing, and maintaining inner peace.
Integrating Energy Clearing into Daily Life
Incorporating simple energy-clearing exercises into our daily routines is key to managing stress and maintaining balance.
Finding moments of stillness and mindfulness throughout the day, redirecting our attention away from stressors, allows us to recalibrate our energy and restore balance.
Identifying triggers and stressors in our environment enables us to develop strategies to mitigate their impact, such as setting boundaries or practicing visualization techniques.
Understanding the connection between energy flow and stress levels empowers us to take proactive steps in clearing energy blockages.
Utilizing techniques such as meditation, breathwork, body movement, and trapped energy release, move stagnant energy out and restore balance. Creating an energetic sanctuary at home enhances the environment for energy clearing and stress relief. Integrating energy clearing into daily life through mindfulness, identifying triggers, and establishing consistent practices allows us to manage stress effectively and maintain a state of inner peace.
By prioritizing energy clearing, we pave the way for reduced stress and a more balanced, peaceful, aligned, and harmonious life.

"The world isn't fair."
That's what we've been conditioned to believe. That life is "hard”, and you have to "hustle" to make ends meet. That's the false paradigm that keeps us stuck in a system of modern-day slavery of service to FEW, the elite.
Where is your energy going?
Worrying about money takes ALOT of your energy. It also keeps you stuck in the old paradigm of lack mindset. Money is only a form of "currency"; it flows and is abundantly available for you.
You're not required to co-opt into anything that doesn't resonate with your soul, inner guidance, and well-being. Like EVER. You have complete authorization to override this reality.
Have faith and know, that you absolutely CAN when you embody and create from your Soul, your new reality.
Tune UP your intuition.
Ground IN your wisdom.
Every single differing thought, feeling and action puts you on a new timeline.
Timeline Jumping can help you create the life situations that you want. That's why it’s so important, if you really, really, really want something, to stay focused on it and its vibration! Each time you digress from your manifestation by thinking a conflicting thought or getting triggered up into lower vibing energies, you jump onto a different timeline that affects your future.
And the resistance will always show up right BEFORE a timeline jump. Because Timelines are like bandwidths.
Think of yourself as an airplane. As you gain altitude (your ascension process) the cabin pressure inside the aircraft remains stable so you can sustain being in higher elevation seamlessly.
Timeline jumping is no different. If the energy within you isn't anchored into itself to rise with another bandwidth, you cannot sustain it and can only hold the highest frequency available to you (that's why healing work is so important).
As many of you know, I have recently moved my life, my family and my business to Costa Rica.
It has been the boldest timeline jump I have ever made and it only took six months to manifest my paradise. Many people ask me how me about how I manifest, and timeline jump so seamlessly. There's no denying that these jumps do not come without challenges!
It's the energetics of manifesting. You are the master of your manifesting mojo; if you get distracted from your intention and its energy signature, your vibration dwindles; you drop your manifestation from showing up.
There are other "you's" that are already living the life that you want to live. Everything is only a matter of WHEN and aligning with the frequency of that timeline.
Do you feel like:
-You've been living life on a certain bandwidth or loop forever?
-Or you've been manifesting a better something but it's not showing up?
-Or your manifestation DOES show up, but you can't sustain it in reality?
Every single differing thought, feeling and action puts you on a new timeline.
All possibilities exist in our Universe. Your desire is there waiting for you to focus on it and bring it into view.
MANIFEST YOUR PARADISE BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE HERE TO DO.
Join me for your most epic timeline jump yet👇

You can’t explain it but you feel different. You even have the sensation to have become a new person, which has nothing to do with the one you were before. The reason you're seeking is because your soul instinctively knows that it's ready to grow and shift into a new, higher vibration. As I understand it, this growth can result in aches and pains, as the lower densities inside you move through and are transformed.
The journey to become “woke” is unlike any other and there are certainly no shortcuts or set time frames to get us there. The clearest way in which spiritual awakening manifests itself is in terms of the wakeful person’s different perception and experience of the world around them. It can at times, honestly feel like you’re going crazy! In the first stages it can also feel lonely and overwhelming. But bit by bit we start to see the beauty of life unfolding as we seek the magic that each day brings.
When the filters of social conditioning begin to dissolve, more impressions come into our minds and affect us more powerfully.
Most Common Signs of Spiritual Awakening:
1. Intensified Perception
This intensity of perception is sometimes experienced as openness to experience or, in slightly different terms, an increased sensitivity. We become acutely aware of our environment, those around us and whatever is happening in each given moment.
2. Increased Timelessness
As our sense of ego becomes weaker, the more linear time seems to fade away. Our perception of time slows and expands — and eventually disappears into now-ness.
3. Awareness of Spiritual Energy
Every moment offers the sense of being both magnificent and also very ordinary. We come to understand that this life force is the “source,” of something underlying and fundamental that doesn’t just pervade all things but gives rise to them, too. This is the space where we become master manifestors.
4. Aliveness & Harmony
We see and recognize that all things shine with the radiant aliveness of spirit. All things in existence have a quality of bliss or joy so when we perceive their presence in the world, there’s a sense of harmony, a feeling of “oneness”.
5. Inner Quietness
Say goodbye to the endless inner noise of our thought-chatter! We align with the things that connect us to the essence of our being, beyond our ego-identity, and strengthen our sense of inter-connectedness.
6. Transcendence of Separation
Separation dissolves into connection. We no longer feel that we’re “in here” looking out at a world that seems to be “out there.” This sense of connection manifests itself in different ways; at the most basic level, we may feel strongly connected to other human beings, other living beings in general, or to the whole natural world. This shifts to the realization that not only are we one with the world but that we actually are the world.
7. Empathy and Compassion
My fellow empaths, you know this all too well; this ability to “feel with” other beings gives rise to compassion and love. Love stems from a sense of connection and oneness, a sense that you are another person — or other people — and so you belong to them and share their experience.
8. Well-Being
Spiritually awakened people are more likely to feel a sense of gratitude for their health and are much less prone to negative states such as boredom, loneliness, and dissatisfaction. We know we are and always have enough.
9. No longer Fear Death
The ego feels especially fragile in the face of death. When our own ego isn’t the epicenter of our universe anymore, its demise no longer seems so devastating. We know that our own death isn’t the end of all things; the world that is part of our identity and the essence of our being will continue to exist after the dissolution of our bodies.
10. Enjoyment of Inactivity: The Ability to “Be”
If you love doing nothing, you’re on the right track! Solitude, quietness, and inactivity; we can rest contentedly within our own being because there’s no turbulence or discord inside us. Instead, we enjoy them deeply because they allow us to touch into the radiance of our own well-being.
11. Autonomy: Living More Authentically
We finally realize that that all this time we weren’t living our own lives but largely just following social conventions or trying to please other people. We become more autonomous and inner-directed. We step into our power with greater confidence in our choices and preferences and we hold ourselves accountable to stand by them, even in the face of ridicule or rejection.
Each day, many people are becoming more conscious and aware to want to take their lives back into their own hands and escape the model imposed by society in order to really know happiness and live the life they truly want to live. As our consciousness grows, the meaning of life changes for us, and we have new aspirations and inspirations, coupled with the desire to change ourselves in order to change the world.

“If I could just lose ten more pounds, I’d be happy.” Sound familiar? This became my long-running mantra for several years in a cycle of workout regimes, diet plans and this thing called life i.e., changing jobs, moving, having kids, sleep deprivation, stress, starting a new career path, etc.
There were times when I was working VERY diligently; eating clean but I couldn’t lose the extra weight. I would change my workouts; tweak my diet further and NOTHING. I realized my external discipline didn’t match the internal chaos I was experiencing and that was the gap between where I was stuck and where I wanted to be.
Last year in 2018, something amazing happened; I lost 20 lbs. They shed off of me like a snake skin, revealing a completely new person. It was a significant transformation for me because I realized it wasn’t only the physical weight that came off but more so the emotional baggage I finally released that was hampering all of my previous efforts and weighing me down. Reiki has played the leading role in this process.
Obesity is a serious problem for people all across the world and particularly in the North America. Because of obesity’s significant impact on an individual’s health and well-being, people are always looking for new, more effective ways to lose weight.
Carrying extra weight can also cause an individual to feel self-conscious, embarrassed and unattractive. Over time, this can lead to mental health issues, such as low self-esteem, anxiety and depression.
How Reiki Can Help?
When clients undergo Reiki treatments, they often feel more balanced, both physically and emotionally. Clients who are actively trying to lose weight may be more likely to stick to their weight loss plans if their sense of balance is restored. In addition, they may experience fewer of the negative mental effects of carrying extra weight, such as depression.
One of the primary uses of Reiki involves the reduction of stress. Stress is a common problem experienced by a significant portion of the population. Because stress has been shown to increase cortisol levels and contribute to weight gain, it’s clear that reducing stress could be beneficial for clients who are trying to lose weight.
Reiki sessions may be helpful to clients who have gained some weight because they aren’t sleeping well. Because Reiki may reduce stress and contribute to relaxation, clients may be able to get better, more restful sleep after treatment. This may contribute to better hormonal balance and a more normal appetite, which will help to prevent further weight gain and facilitate weight loss.
Reiki is most effective when used in conjunction with other weight loss treatments. Other weight loss methods that patients may combine with Reiki sessions include better eating habits, increased physical activity and weight loss medication. Cumulative Reiki sessions may enhance the effectiveness of each of these other weight loss methods by making clients more aware of their bodies’ nutritional needs, stabilizing their appetites and reducing unhealthy cravings.
You are more than just your body. Your body reflects your inner being; if your mind, body and soul are in balance then your body is in balance. The body is a complex machine designed by nature to serve the soul. Without the soul or connection to the vital life force, the body is loses vitality.
Unlike any other healing modality, Reiki works on ALL levels to release what’s weighing down each energetic body in a holistic manner. Through Reiki you reclaim that power and facilitate your own healing at a natural pace and space.

Whenever I ask people how they are feeling, about 90% of the time the response I get is, “I’m tired.”
Are you tired of being tired?
Everyone feels tired at some point in their lives — whether it's due to a late night out, taking care of a newborn, or putting in some extra hours at work. These are valid and clear reasons to feel tired. But what about the rest of the time? If you’re tired of being tired, it’s time to tighten up those leaks so you’re not leaking energy, and have a lot more energy to invest in yourself.
Let’s break down the obvious causes of feeling low on energy first.
A lack of sleep may be an obvious reason for feeling tired, yet many adults are consistently not getting enough of it. Getting under the recommended hours of sleep (7 hours) each night is not only associated with fatigue, impaired performance and a greater risk of accidents but it also has adverse health outcomes.
My bedtime routine includes, phasing out artificial lighting at least an hour before my bed time and that means NO TV, tablet, computer or phone. The light these devices emit can really wreck havoc on your melatonin production and mess up your natural rhythm. Better to replace electronics with a relaxing bath, gentle yoga, meditation, and/or sex. TV’s should have no place in the bedroom.
Limit the caffeine. I love me a good cup of coffee but I make sure to limit my caffeine consumption by the afternoon since my body needs the time to rid itself of caffeine’s stimulating effects. Same thing with alcohol – which can lead to fragmented sleep.
Exercise. Make sure to move around each day. When you exercise in the morning you’ll feel more energy all day long! Making exercise part of your regular routine can contribute to healthier, more restful sleep and may help improve sleep issues such as insomnia.
If lifestyle changes do not improve your sleep, there may be an underlying medical issue; it is worth seeing a medical professional to find out the cause of fatigue.
Now that we’ve explored the physical manifestations of being tired, let’s go a layer deeper.
IT’S TIME TO CALL THE ENERGY PLUMBER BECAUSE WE UNKNOWINGLY LEAK ENERGY EVERY DAY IN LESS OBVIOUS WAYS.
It’s amazing how people pride themselves with being so “busy”. The most common energy leak in society today is overdoing and having too much on our plates, leaving little time for relaxation and play. These are not only necessary for health; they create a body-mind container to hold our vital energy. By contrast, an exhausted body-mind is riddled with 'holes' like Swiss cheese, allowing the energy to drain away. Your conditioned mind might be convinced that you can't afford to do less; but really, you can't afford not to.
The second energy leak is of course intimately related to the first. When we're overdoing, we develop dis-ease quite easily. When illness has set in, it draws our attention and leaks our Ki (vitality or life-force). Your body is an intelligent being. Often (not always), illness or dis-ease is a warning sign that your higher self is trying to tell you something.
What stories do you buy into? It is very common to create an energy leak as soon as you lose contact with your essence-nature and are pulled away from your true self by manufactured dramas and false story-lines that cause unnecessary emotional reactivity. When you pause and allow yourself to just sit with your feelings, neither owning nor disowning them, but just being with them as a form of pure energy- that's the opposite of emotional reactivity. Just be with awareness and present as each situation unfolds before you.
We also lose precious energy by spending our time dwelling upon the past or anticipating some future event. The moment we go backwards or forwards in our minds, we immediately disconnect from the present moment and all that is available to us in the Now. Stay in the present, there is no better place to be. You can never have the same moment twice.
WHERE YOUR MIND GOES, YOUR ENERGY FOLLOWS SO ONLY SEND IT WHERE YOU WANT IT TO GROW IN YOUR LIFE.
Another energy vampire are boundaries, or lack thereof. Communicating what you want and what you're okay with, is crucial to create the firm foundation for relationships that aren't energy leaks. Always ask yourself, “is this a responsible use of my energy?” Make this a filter for yourself because people are always going to want something from you. If you find that a relationship is still leaving you feeling drained, sometimes the only solution is to let go and walk away.
You are the CEO of your life - own that title and notice how your energy changes!
If you still feel stuck, you can always call the “energy plumber” aka me, to help patch up those leaks.

This puts a whole new perspective on cleaning your windows doesn't it? If you've got dirty windows, clean them and create a clear view so you know where you are heading.
Burnt out light bulbs? Hey Soul Sista, that's bad Feng Shui!
Sometimes having burnt out light bulbs sneaks up on you and before you know it, you find them everywhere! Raise the energy in your home right away by replacing them. And to save you precious time in the future, replace them with energy saving LED lights and you may never have to change them again in this lifetime - talk about "energy savings"!
If you've got a burnt out light bulb, change it and let more light into your life today.
Potpourri or dead plants in your home? Hey Soul Sista, that's bad Feng Shui!
Take stock of your plants inside and outside your home. Are any sick, dying or dead? If so, give the ones that have a half a chance some TLC, otherwise, remove the dead plants or flowers from your home. This includes potpourri; not only is it dead chi, its also a huge dust collector. With fall around the corner, be sure to rake off all the dead leaves in the yard as well.
By removing this dead chi or energy, you will avoid being dragged down by it. Instead, replace these plants with healthy and vibrant alternatives and watch your energy soar!
Lacklustre front entrance to your home? Hey Soul Sista, that's bad Feng Shui!
Your front door represents the mouth of your home and is where energy enters and exits your house. Freshen it up with a good wipe down. It's also a reflection of you and who you are to the world to the visitors who approach your home. What do you want your front entrance to say about you?
Make your front door area welcoming and visually appealing. Add lights, a wind chime, potted plants, statues, a beautiful mat; anything that says "you are welcome here" and let the energy pour in!
Hey Soul Sista, that's GOOD Feng Shui!

March 13, 2019
Whether you're young or old, or have children or not, September feels like the start of a "new year." There is an immediate shift in gears with planning and organizing during the initial flurry of activity that the start of Fall brings.
As nature begins to spiral inward, there is an opportunity for us to do the same. So if it's "back to school," "back to you," "back to routine," or "back to basics," whatever you decide to call it, take some time to reflect on how you would like your Fall season to unfold.
Gone are the unstructured and spontaneous days of Summer in exchange for more rhythm and routine of Fall. Just like a breath, Summer represents the "breath out" and Fall represents the "breath in."
So in the spirit of "breathing in," enjoy my favourite nourishing practices as you switch gears this Fall.
#1 Journal
Take a few moments to record your reflections. As the trees change colour and shed their leaves, ask yourself, "what am I letting go of this fall?" and let the pen flow.
Steep a warm cup of tea, cozy up with a blanket, light a candle and read your favourite book. Dust off your crockpot and enjoy simple hearty meals.
#3 Practice your "no" muscle
As the opportunities come flooding in this time of year, learn to say "no." Resist the urge to over-schedule because of a fear of missing out (FOMO). Be deliberate in choosing activities that support you versus deplete you.
#4 Adopt the mantra, "Hmmm, that's interesting..."
Be the calm in the storm of activity that September brings. Observe what's happening around you and allow the mantra, "that's interesting" to be your go-to saying to keep you centered and out of reaction mode and drama.
#5 Unplug and recharge yourself in nature
Invite more clarity into your daily life by simply being in nature. Enjoy the breath-taking scenery as the leaves begin to change colour.
While this "new year" can be a crazy time, don't forget to immerse yourself in the beauty and simplicity that the Fall brings when you allow it. Use these timely energy tools to help you not only survive this transition but to thrive through it as well!
Welcome in Fall with open arms and let her beauty unfold before your very eyes...with grace AND ease.
